Our foundation is the Word of God—unchanging, inspired, and wholly true.

We are a community of believers who desire to walk in obedience to Scripture, to grow in Christlikeness, and to proclaim the hope of the gospel to a world in need.

Our Articles of Faith reflect our commitment to sound doctrine and our deep love for God. Below is a summary of these core convictions, which guide our worship, our ministry, and our everyday lives as followers of Christ:

OUR FOUNDATION

THE WORD OF GOD

At Berean Baptist Church, we are joyfully committed to the truth of God's Word and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Here is a simplified overview of our doctrinal statement:

The Bible is God's Word

We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. It is our final authority for life, faith, and practice.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

The Holy Spirit is Active and Present

We believe the Holy Spirit convicts, regenerates, indwells, guides, and empowers believers for godly living and faithful service.

John 14:16-17

God is Triune

We believe in one living and true God who exists eternally in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—equal in essence and distinct in function.

Matthew 28:19

Satan is Real and Defeated

We believe Satan is a personal being who opposes God and deceives the world, but he is ultimately defeated and will be judged eternally.

2 Corinthians 4:4

God Created the World

We believe God created the world by His Word, and that human beings were made in His image through direct creation—not through evolution.

Colossians 1:16-17

Jesus is Our Savior and Lord

We believe Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, added to His deity complete humanity in the virgin birth, lived a sinless life, died in our place, rose from the dead, and now reigns in heaven as our Savior and King.

Philippians 2:5-11

Humanity Needs a Savior

We believe all people are sinners by nature and by choice, separated from God and in need of salvation, which is found only in Jesus Christ.

Romans 3:23

Salvation is by Grace Through Faith

We believe salvation is a gift of God's grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone—not by works. True salvation results in a transformed life.

Ephesians 2:8-10

The Church is Christ's Body

We believe the local church is made up of baptized believers, united by faith, governed by Scripture, and called to proclaim the gospel to the world.

Romans 12:4-5

Jesus is Coming Again

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead and the personal, pretribulational rapture of the church, and premillennial return of Jesus Christ, who will establish His kingdom and judge the world in righteousness.

The leadership of Berean Baptist Church exists to serve the body of Christ by shepherding with humility, teaching with faithfulness, and modeling lives transformed by the gospel.

Our pastor is committed to prayer, to the ministry of the Word, and equipping the saints for the work of ministry (Ephesians 4:12).

He serves by leading, and the deacons lead by serving. They do this out of a deep love for Jesus and a desire to glorify God by faithfully loving His church.

Dan fields

Lead Pastor

Pastor Dan joined the Berean Baptist Church family in 2024, joyfully following God's call into full-time ministry after completing his training at Faith Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary. With a shepherd's heart and a teacher's passion, Pastor Dan is committed to faithfully preaching and teaching God's Word with clarity, conviction, and compassion. He desires to equip believers of all ages to walk in wisdom, applying Scripture to every aspect of life for the glory of God.

Dan and his wife, Rebecca, are grateful to be raising their five children in a Christ-centered community. Whether he's preparing a sermon, discipling, or working outdoors with his hands, Dan finds joy in honoring the Lord with all he has. In his free time, he enjoys hunting and fishing—especially when autumn colors begin to show. He's also an avid fan of the Kansas City Royals, Chiefs, and the Mizzou Tigers.

Through every season of life and ministry, Pastor Dan remains grounded in the truth of God's Word and energized by the privilege of helping others know and follow Jesus.

SonJa muñoz

Administrative Assistant

Sonja has served as the administrative assistant at Berean Baptist Church since 2023. With a heart for ministry and a gift for organization, she plays a vital behind-the-scenes role in helping the church function smoothly.

Whether she's coordinating communication, managing schedules, or tackling unexpected challenges, Sonja approaches each task with excellence and grace. She brings a steady hand and a servant's heart to everything she does.

Her work supports the mission of Berean—making more and better disciples—by keeping the details in order so ministry can flourish. She is grateful for the opportunity to serve the church family and loves being part of what God is doing at Berean.

OUR DEACONS

At our church, deacons are spiritually mature men who serve alongside the pastor to meet practical needs and protect and promote godly unity within the church.

They facilitate necessary ministry in a variety of areas such as facilities, finances, sound, Christian education, missions, member care, outreach, and ordinances. Guided by biblical qualifications (1 Timothy 3), deacons lead by serving—offering compassion, integrity, and Christlike humility in all they do.
